Charles C. Brockett, Director.  Prior to joining the bank as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Brockett was founder and Managing Partner of Enterprise Financial Consulting, a Northern Virginia-based financial consulting firm, which specializes in the representation of financial institutions, technology and other middle market companies in the areas of corporate accounting and finance. Prior to founding Enterprise Financial Consulting, Mr. Brockett spent the majority of his career working in a community bank, having started his banking career in 1980 with First Commercial Bank, Arlington, Virginia. During his nearly 16 years with First Commercial Bank until its sale to United Bankshares in 1996, he held positions of increasing managerial responsibility at the retail level, loan accounting and servicing, operations, consumer lending, commercial lending and Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure at First Commercial, Mr. Brockett also served as a member of the Board of Directors.

During his tenure with Enterprise Financial Consulting, Mr. Brockett headed up its Financial Institution Practice, which specializes in assisting banks and thrifts in the areas of risk management, corporate governance, internal audit, and compliance with the various provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. Mr. Brockett is also experienced in project management and business process reengineering. Mr. Brockett has also been active in both industry and community activities.

Mr. Brockett is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Thomas P. Caldwell, Director, is the Co-owner of Caldwell and Santmyer, Inc., Berryville, Virginia, a construction company focusing on school construction for the last 15 years.  The company has been in business since 1979 and has effectively coordinated the construction of and renovated schools for every school system in the Washington Metropolitan area.  Currently he oversees financial management for the company, which has a bonding capacity of $75 million and annual sales of $50 million.  He supports the Loudoun County Educational Foundation and Feed the Children charity.  Thomas is also a member of the Association of Builders and Contractors.

Douglas M. Church, Jr., Director - Vice Chairman, has over 30 years of banking experience in Northern Virginia and the markets served by First Virginia Banks, Inc. Until October of 2003, Mr. Church spent his entire banking career in positions of increasing responsibility and authority with First Virginia Banks, Inc., and its subsidiaries, First Virginia Bank and First Virginia Services, Inc. (FVBI's Technology subsidiary). During his tenure, First Virginia Banks, Inc. grew to become an $11 billion corporation. At various times during his 30-year tenure at First Virginia, Mr. Church held the positions of Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, Director of Corporate Marketing, Regional Executive Officer, responsible for the performance of five member banks, Senior Vice President (Executive Officer for Human Resources and Corporate Training), and Senior Vice President (Corporate Director of Communications).

Mr. Church is currently a Trustee of the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management and a Foundation board member of the Association of Retarded Citizens. During his career he has had considerable industry and community involvement including serving as chairman of the Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Heart Association, Chairman and board member of the MOST system (an ATM and electronic banking company now merged into the STAR system), member of the Fairfax County School's Business/Industry Advisory Council, board member of the American Bankers Association Education Foundation, Chairman of the American Bankers Association's Communications Council, Pack Leader with the Boy Scouts of America and service in many other organizations.

Mr. Church received a Bachelor of Science degree, with a concentration in Management, from the University of Virginia, Mclntire School of Commerce in 1973. He is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University. Additionally, Mr. Church has attended intensive executive management seminars including sessions at the Harvard Business School and the IBM executive management institute. He is a resident of Fairfax, Virginia.

Thomas F. Dungan III , Director, is president of Management Concepts, a 35 year old second generation training, consulting, and publishing organization.  Tom is also President of Andover Investments, LLC, a holding company for investment activity in banking and real estate activities.  Andover Investments was the largest shareholder in Potomac Bank of Virginia which was sold to Sandy Springs Bank in 2007.  Mr. Dungan is a graduate of the College of William and Mary, with a BA in Accounting.  He is a CPA and worked previously with Arthur Andersen.  He is a board member of the Washington/Baltimore Chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization, the Instructional Systems Association, The Professional Services Council, and the William and Mary Business Board.

Gary L. Hall, Director, is the President and co-owner of Superior Iron Works, Inc., a steel fabricating and erecting firm located near Dulles Airport in Loudon County, Virginia. The company has been in business since 1968, employs over 200 people and has annual sales of more than $20 million. Mr. Hall joined Superior Iron Works in 1975.

Active in industry and community groups, Mr. Hall is a member of the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the Washington Building Congress, and the Virginia Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC). In 2004, the Virginia ABC members voted Superior Ironworks, Inc., as the subcontractor of the year. Mr. Hall is also a 25-year participant in the Heritage Club, an alumni association supporting the University of Maryland.

Mr. Hall attended the University of Maryland, where he earned his B. S. in Business and Management in 1975, and his M. B. A. in Accounting and Finance in 1979. Mr. Hall currently resides in Reston, Virginia.

Mark A. Karl, Director, is the Owner and Managing Member of Advanced Mailing Services, LLC, Woodbridge, Virginia, a direct mailing company that provides full service letter and data distribution, with 35 employees and annual sales of over $2 million.

Prior to purchasing Advanced Mailing Services, LLC, Mr. Karl was Executive Vice President of Heatwole Miller Company, an Industrial/Commercial Development, Construction and Property Management firm located in Woodbridge, Virginia. Prior to joining the organizing effort for Virginia Heritage Bank, Mr. Karl was a member of the Advisory Board at The Business Bank, Tyson's Corner, Virginia, where he served for 5 years.

Mr. Karl is a 1978 graduate of Virginia Tech where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management. He is a resident of Centreville, Virginia.

Joseph J. Romagnoli, a graduate of Virginia Tech, is a partner in the Reston, Virginia based public accounting firm Cocke, Szpanka & Taylor, CPAs, PC. Mr. Romagnoli has been active in the local community including service to Vienna Youth Incorporated, Vienna Girls Softball League and the Vienna Little League. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Virginia Society of CPAs and the Fairfax Chamber of Commerce. He resides in Vienna, Virginia with his wife Mary and their three children.

David P. Summers, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, most recently served on the Board of Directors and as an Executive Vice President of Mercantile Safe Deposit & Trust company.  He was formerly President and CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Community Bank of Northern Virginia (CBNV) for 13 years up until the sale of the bank to Mercantile Bankshares Corporation in May 2005.  At the time of the sale, CBNV had assets totaling $900 million with 14 branch offices located in Fairfax City, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.

Prior to his employment with CBNV, Mr. Summers spent 11 years with Dominion Bank of Greater Washington. 

Mr. Summers was born and raised in Fairfax County.  He attended Virginia Tech and received a B.S. in Accounting.  He is a CPA. 

Douglas W. Wallace, President of the Wallace Insurance Agency, Inc., in Herndon, Virginia, which he founded in 1984. The firm specializes in providing comprehensive medical and life insurance products as well as a wide range of employee benefit services to small to medium size businesses. Mr. Wallace is life long resident of Northern Virginia and an active member of the business community participating in a wide range of civic activities. He has served as a director of the Bank since 2006.

Robert P. Warhurst, Director, is President and co-Owner and Founder of Merrifield Garden Center, Merrifield and Fairfax, Virginia. Merrifield Garden Center is one of the largest full service garden center/landscaping companies in Northern Virginia. Mr. Warhurst founded the company in 1971.

Mr. Warhurst is very active in the community and has served as the President of the Merrifield Improvement Association for the past ten years. Mr. Warhurst served as a founding director of Horizon Bank, headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, from 1989 to 1999, and served on the Board of Southern Financial Bank from 1999 until its sale to Provident Bank in April 2004.
